The Annual "Local Heroes" event was held at the Mid Peninsula Community Media Center in Palo Alto, California on Sunday, March 18th, 2012.

This event honored people for their outstanding achievement or contribution to the community. Award recipients reflect the enormous diversity of our communities. Our annual "Local Heroes" winners vary in age, gender, ethnicity, geographical location, profession or field of interest, and type of contribution.
